We have bought a museum pass which means we have prepaid entry into Paris museums, but we only have 2 days to use it, so today is all about museums. We get to the Louvre at about 10, but I think we should have got there a bit earlier, the crowds are crazy.
We head for the Mona Lisa and I think we saw her. I'm told that is her in the middle of the picture below.
One guide book I read said if you were to only glance at every painting in the Louvre it would still take you 9 months but after about 4 hours we've had enough. Next it's the Musee D'Orsay which is more my taste. Many of the impressionists and post impressionists are here. Heaps of Monets, Van Goghs, Degas and Latrecs. It's all absolutely stunning.
Finally, we head to the Arc de Triomphe to watch the sun go down, the view of Paris from the top is spectacultar. Around 10pm the sun finally went down but it was still almost daylight and me give up on seeing Paris lit up and head home for the night.
