The sun is still shining and we hit the pavements for some more walking. Today we visit the Ile de la Cite an island in the middle of the Seinne. Apart from being a beautiful spot there are two main attractions here, the first is the flower market and the second is Notre Dame cathedral.
The flower market is not so much cut flowers, which I was expecting, but really just a plant nursery. You will see these everywhere, but the French seem to be able to get the plants to grow and flower really well in smallish pots.
The cathedral is grand and the setting is picturesque, but it's not the grandest or the most picturesque cathedral in the city. I guess the big attraction is it's story...because there are even more tourists everywhere here and the que is far too long for us to even think about going in.
